Again I return from the void, Renewed, married and now with puppy goodness. My life has changed much. I've got a great circle of friends, a beautiful wife and a smart ass dog (his birthday is the same as mine, but MANY years apart) Some things are still the same: I'm still "husky", I still have a sweet tooth, And I'm still not too pretty. Again it's been too long since I've posted here. Those of you who know me know I've been through a lot in the last year. My mother had major surgery, my job was in jeopardy due to cutbacks and a few other things had gotten me down. In late June my mother finally got to come home, I met a wonderful woman whom I am deeply in love with and my job is safe (For now). Now more about my lovely. She is way too beautiful for me (I love her eyes). She's smart, funny and she digs me. At first I just wanted to be friends next thing I know I'm addicted to her; Head over heels, truly, madly, deeply in love with her and the feeling grows stronger with every passing day. And the clincher? She feels the same. Every time I kiss her I feel like I'm Prometheus stealing fire from the gods. She makes my world so much better, she makes me believe in love.
This is the happiest I've EVER been.

Those of you who know me know i try to be helpful and at one point i wanted to change the world. Over the last few years I've let that slip, i became way too jaded. Now all i do is donate blood (Just hit the 4 gal. mark) and Toys for tots (went waaaay over board in '08) I want to do a few cancer walks, food drives, and fund raisers and i want ya all to join me, if i can do it with a bad leg and a grumpy attitude, you people can do it as well. I think by doing this i might be able to get out of this depression i've been in for so long. So if you guys have a cause then i'm most likely in -- Green eyed Dragon

Well, the yearly trip to Megacon was one of the better ones. For starters we had a new member to "Team Neko" It was her first big convention and her birthday. I really needed it this time. The way February has gone with work, one of my dogs passing away, the family, some friend issues and my grandmother's health, I needed the getaway. I (for once) didn't buy any weapons. Pocky on the other hand, I dropped over $100.00. The vendor asked if there was any flavors I was looking for and I told him something I've never had before. That night he made a trip back to his home in Lakeland (that's a hell of a drive from Orlando) to try to find some Pocky that I haven't had before. He and his wife got very excited when I said that he did indeed bring a few that I've never had and to top it off he gave me a free Ramune (lychee). He was happy, I was happy we all won. If you know me you know I'm addicted, let's just stop it there. There'll be pictures of the Pocky haul later on. I spent over $200 on Graphic novels and manga (mainly on Graphic novels) got some stuff for some friends who couldn't make it to the con. I also got a bunch of other stuff (lot of Green Lantern swag) ya prolly wouldn't care about. When all was said and done I think everyone had a good time and I was able to escape most of the current problems that are plaguing my life. Now to start planning on next year -- Green eyed Dragon

Today my job got better than I thought it could ever get. I got to go up into the helicopter at my work the toss out rabies vaccine. I was 315 feet up in the air moving at 70 MPH, throwing these smelly (they were fish scented) bait out into the woods in Tarpon Springs and East lake. I GOT PAID TO THROW SHIT OUT OF A MOVING HELICOPTER!!!!! After the second trip, each trip I tossed out 1080 vaccines, I got air sick *Insert vomit noise here* With this being my first trip in a 'copter and 25 MPH cross winds, I think I did pretty good.
The view was fucking beautiful. Next time I'm gonna bring a camera, maybe I'll post some pictures here. -- Green eyed Dragon

Valentines day is almost upon us. I HATE that day with a burning passion (There's a dose of irony for ya) It's just another reminder to me and many others how fucking alone we really are. I've NEVER had a valentine or even a date on that day. the only plus is February 15th, all the candy goes on sale. I see all these happy people and want to hit them with a potted plant. I make it a point (If I go leave my cave) to wear all black. If you think about it why do we celebrate love on one day? It's a marketing ploy. The U.S. Greeting Card Association estimates that approximately one billion valentines are sent each year worldwide, making the day the second largest card-sending holiday of the year behind Christmas. The association estimates that women purchase approximately 85 percent of all valentines and I can't even get one. The real story behind Valentine's day is a few (14 ish) martyrs. So the Roman church makes a holiday around it. I'm thinking the fucker's were made of chocolate, flowers and cheap cards. I dunno where the little naked bastard with the arrows comes in, the winged bastard. For those of you who are in love, Congratulations. It's been well over a year since I've posted. Things have been pretty fucked up this year. I've had to deal with three deaths, a friend moved to the other coast, another one is way on the other side of the world in the desert. Some friendships got weakened others got stronger and I've met a few new people. I've had a few friends and family close to me have a few health scares, I've had a few health problems myself. My family life has gone pretty much to hell. Some things have changed for the better and other things not so much. I'm going to try to change things that need it. I'm going to try to fix me where I can. I might even try to find a woman (insert laugh track here) that will like me for who I AM not who they can make me. 2009 will be my year. -- Green eyed Dragon
